 Itinerary

  • Pick up at Hotel/AirBnb at 8:30am

  • Arrival to Évora historical center.

  • Visit Igreja de São Francisco and Capela dos Ossos a religious structure built in the 16th century by Franciscan monks. Its interior walls are adorned with the bones and skulls of around 5,000 monks which serve as a solemn reminder of mortality and the transient nature of life.

  • Walk around the Roman temple believed to have been constructed in the 1st century AD, it stands as one of the most significant Roman landmarks in Portugal and the whole Ibéria. It is dedicated to the goddess Diana, although its original purpose remains a subject of debate among historians.

  • Explore the Cathedral of Évora, a magnificent medieval building constructed between the 12th and 13th centuries, it showcases a blend of Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. The cathedral features a striking façade adorned with intricate sculptures and rose windows, while its interior boasts stunning vaulted ceilings, chapels, and ornate altars.

  • Lunch at one of the most iconic and delicious portuguese restaurants surrounded by locals and away from crowds.

  • Visit one of the most renowned winery of the region where you will get the chance to taste a selection of wines while learning about the local grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and the unique characteristics of the region's terroir.

  • End the day learning about the versatility and sustainability of cork, a material deeply rooted in Portuguese culture and craftsmanship, in a special place that offers a diverse array of cork products, ranging from fashion accessories to home décor.

  • Return to Lisbon and drop-off at Hotel/AirBnb around 5:30pm
